Get help with your rights and entitlements this Refugee Week

  • 15 June 2018

This Refugee Week we’re highlighting the different support Coram provides for young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.

Our Migrant Children’s Project provides a free and confidential legal advice line (open 10am-12pm Tuesday-Thursday) offering advice on issues including:

  • Immigration and asylum law
  • Accommodation
  • Age assessments
  • Trafficking
  • Education, work and training
  • Healthcare
  • Finding a lawyer

We also provide direct face to face advice and representation in Greater London. Download our Migrant Children’s Project leaflet to find out more.

Our website LawStuff also gives free online legal information to children and young people with a dedicated section on ‘Not from the UK’ giving easy to understand information and useful links for further support.

In addition, our Coram Voice Always Heard advocates help children in care to understand their rights and get the support they need from children’s services. The service is available through Freephone helpline, WhatsApp, text, email and online, with interpreters for those without English as their first language.

If you’re aged 16 to 25 and interested in sharing your experiences of making a life in this country to inspire other young people from similar backgrounds, find out more about how to get involved in our Young Citizens programme.
