Over 200 guests attended the event, which took place in the glow of candlelight in the beautiful surroundings of St Andrew in Holborn, the final resting place of the charity’s founder Thomas Coram.

Guests enjoyed readings from Lulu and Joanna David and carols led by the choir of Trevor-Roberts School. The evening culminated in mince pies and mulled wine, and opportunities to win prizes in the luxury raffle. All funds raised through the event support Coram’s crucial work with some of the UK’s most vulnerable children and young people.

Dr Carol Homden, CBE, Chief Executive of Coram said: “Our Christmas Celebration is a wonderful opportunity for us to reflect on the year’s achievements with all those who have supported or benefited from our work.

“At Coram we want to bring certainty for every child in an age of uncertainty.  We are very grateful to our special guests for their beautiful readings, to James Naughtie for hosting once again, and to all who attended the event and have supported us through the year to help improve the lives of children and young people across the country.”
