About the ride
PedElle was inspired by Cycle to Cannes, an annual challenge event for charity where around 90 cyclists from the property industry cycle 1,500km from London to Cannes in time for the start of the MIPIM property conference.
It was founded by a group of keen female cyclists with the aim of encouraging more women on to their bikes while raising money for charity. Champions of the event include Jennifer Ross, director at Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design, and Claire Treanor, former partner at DP9 Planning Consultants. Both women have ridden in Cycle to Cannes but been struck how few women participate.
Making a difference
Money raised from PedElle will help transform children’s lives through two of Coram’s vital programmes, Coram Adoption and Coram Life Education.
Coram runs one of the UK’s most successful voluntary adoption services, dedicated to the needs of children in need of loving adoptive families who can provide the care and support they need.
Coram Life Education reaches a further 800,000 school children every year helping them develop the skills they need to make healthier life choices.
