A new version of Peter Pan, written by Coram Adoption panel member Evan Placey, is running at The Rose Theatre in Kingston, London, until 7 January 2024.
Award-winning writer Evan Placey has adapted J.M. Barrie’s children’s classic, Peter Pan, in a new production at The Rose Theatre in Kingston. Evan Placey has been a Coram Adoption panel member since 2019, and this family-friendly adaptation has an adoption and fostering theme.
This brand-new version, with music and lyrics by Vikki Stone and directed by Lucy Morrell, is packed with song, dance and magic, and features 40 talented young members of the Rose Youth Theatre.
Chasing his runaway shadow, a mischievous young boy crash lands through an open window and meets a headstrong young girl. With a sprinkle of fairy dust, they take flight on a whirlwind festive voyage over pirate ships, through mermaid lagoons, and into the heart of Neverland.
Director, Lucy Morrell said: “I am delighted to be making this show alongside the best creative team anyone could ask for. I adore the original story of Peter Pan and Evan’s new adaptation is beautiful. Working with our large ensemble of young people and fantastic professional actors is an absolute joy! I can’t wait for audiences, young and old, to see this festive, magical treat.”
Peter Pan runs at The Rose Theatre until 7 January 2024. Book your tickets here.
