About this free event
The Coram Innovation Incubator (CII) is Coram’s dedicated vehicle, bringing together leaders from across the public, private and charity sector to galvanise innovation in children’s services. We believe in the power of collaboration and knowledge sharing to allow us to access and create the solutions that can change the lives of children, young people and families.
We are delighted to invite you to join us on Friday 2 February 2024 from 10am-1:30pm for this free event in London to hear from those driving change in the sector at Coram’s annual CII Innovation Forum.
Bringing together a wide range of like-minded professionals from across the country, the Forum will demonstrate innovations in practice and inspire discussion on how we can utilise our collective capacity and optimise our use of innovative technology to facilitate better outcomes for children, young people, families and improve practice for those working in the sector.
We are delighted to be joined by the following inspiring speakers:
Paul Lindley OBE, who is a children’s welfare campaigner and recently published Raising The Nation: How to Build a Better Future for 0ur Children (and everyone else), a manifesto for change for children and families. Paul is also an entrepreneur and founded the highly successful children’s food brand Ella’s Kitchen. Paul will be highlighting the key findings and messages from Raising a Nation and using his wider entrepreneurial experience to help us consider how we can address some the public sector challenges to innovation.
Jonny Hoyle, Development Lead for Care Planning and Support and Claire Wilson, Project Manager from North Yorkshire Council, will be doing a live demo- for the very first time-of the prototype of an innovative new case management tool being pioneered in North Yorkshire. Funded by the Department for Education’s Children’s Social Care Digital and Data Solutions Fund, the tool will help social care teams to identify and map the important people and places in a child’s life at the click of a button.
An expert panel with Aneesa Kaprie, Head of Service for Children and Families Hub, Referral and Assessment, London Borough of Bromley, Jon Brown, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Barnardos and Georgina Maratheftis, Associate Director for Local Public Services at techUK and Dr Fred Langford, Director: Trust and Safety Technology, Ofcom considering how AI can improve outcomes for children.
And we will now also be joined by Andy Coulter, a Technical Specialist from Microsoft who will be doing a live demo of Microsoft Co-Pilot in action, showing how it can support children’s social care teams in their day-to-day work!
There will be opportunity to meet and network with other children’s services leaders and practitioners, including DCSs, ADs and CEOs from charity and third sector organisations. A light lunch will be provided.
