On 8 June 2023, Coram International’s Head of Law and Programmes, Awaz Raoof, participated in a panel discussion at the UN Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum, Asia-Pacific, to discuss our research and policy brief on the role of the business sector in protecting children affected by migration in Southeast Asia. The research and policy briefs were commissioned by UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office.

Child marriages are on the decline says UNICEF
UNICEF reports today that there has been a significant drop in the number of child marriages worldwide. They estimate that 25 million child marriages have been prevented in the last decade, with South Asian countries seeing the biggest decrease.
Prof Carolyn Hamilton honoured as Dame for Services to Children’s Rights and Education
Coram is delighted that Professor Carolyn Hamilton, Director of Research and International Programmes at Coram Children’s Legal Centre, has been granted the award of Dame Commander of the British Empire (DBE) for Services to Children’s Rights and Education in the 2017 Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
