Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC)

The Ghana Ministry of Defence (MoD) established the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in 1998.

The purpose was to build upon and share Ghana’s five decades of internationally acclaimed experience and competence in peace operations with other states in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) region and the rest of Africa.

Legal Resources Centre (LRC)

Today the LRC is South Africa’s largest public interest law centre.

The LRC use strategic litigation and advocacy to promote justice using the Constitution, build respect for the rule of law and constitutional democracy; enable individuals and groups without access to legal resources to assert and develop their rights; promote gender and racial equality; and contribute to the development of a human rights jurisprudence and socio-economic transformation in South Africa and beyond.

A grant-making charitable organisation, the Evan Cornish Foundation (ECF) was originally created by Ethel Cornish and her daughters in 2002 in memory of her late husband Evan. Since Ethel’s death in 2010, the Trustees have regarded the Foundation to be run in memory of both Evan and Ethel.
