Are you aged 16-25 with personal experience of housing issues or homelessness? Want to use your experiences to make a difference for young people? Join us!
What you’ll do:
- Create and run workshops for other young people to inform them of their rights
- Create and run workshops for professionals to improve practice
- Develop campaigns to change policy and the working practices of professionals
- Share your views with government, social services and others to create change
- Be on a judging panel to fund new youth initiatives to make a difference for homeless young people
What you’ll get:
- Take part in a free training programme to get skills and knowledge of:
– Housing rights
– Campaigning and making change
– Workshop design
– Workshop facilitation - Take part in paid opportunities paid London Living Wage (currently £13.15 an hour) including workshop delivery and influencing local and national policy
- Food and travel costs covered
- Support with your career goals and aspirations
- Be part of a group of like-minded people who want to make a difference for others
The commitment:
- Weekly sessions on Wednesdays and Thursday evenings
- There will be opportunities to take part in workshop delivery, events, consultations and panels – we will send you dates as and when these are taking place
