CSSF aims to raise £66,000 towards its Theatre and Film Festivals, using the unique power of Shakespeare to transform lives and give young people across the UK the confidence and skills they need to succeed in life.
Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation (CSSF) will again take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, raising funds to offer life changing opportunities to young people in primary, secondary and special educational needs schools up and down the country.
Every pound donated through the Big Give will be doubled thanks to generous match funding, making it go twice as far in helping children and young people to build essential skills such as creativity, communication development, life confidence, resilience, empathy and teamwork.
CSSF’s Big Give campaign follows the culmination of the What You Will competition which has seen hundreds of children across the UK create a new speech for one of Shakespeare’s characters. The 2023/24 CSSF Theatre Festival is also well under way with performances by schools taking place in professional theatres across the country.
As one Year 6 pupil from Newcastle said earlier this year: “I stepped out of my comfort zone. It made me feel I could do more.” By giving children a stage, CSSF offers children the chance to shine through a transformative experience and inspire pride in their teachers, families and communities.
Please support this vital work during the Big Give Christmas Challenge from midday on 28 November until midday on 5 December. All donations will be doubled – at no extra cost to.
Thank you for your support.
