The new and fully-mobile responsive CCLC website gives those who work with migrant and refugee children access to the law at their fingertips on a wide range of issues. It also hosts the 5th Edition of the popular ‘Seeking Support: a guide to the rights and entitlements of separated children’.
CCLC has been promoting and protecting the rights of children and young people for over 35 years, offering legal advice and representation in immigration, education, community care and child and family law. For the past 12 years, CCLC has also undertaken detailed policy and advocacy work on behalf of young refugees and migrants through its dedicated Migrant Children’s Project.
The new website has been made possible by the generous support of the Legal Education Foundation.
Kamena Dorling, Head of Policy and Programmes, said: “I am delighted that we are able to launch a user-friendly website that means our much valued legal information and advice is available to vulnerable children and those who work hard to help them navigate the complex legal processes that determine the course of their lives.
“This website will be regularly updated whenever law and policy changes to ensure that we continue to offer an invaluable legal resource. For those with more complex cases, the site allows users to easily access the different services that CCLC can offer to vulnerable children and families, including the Migrant Children’s Project Advice line; the award-winning Children’s Pro Bono Legal Service and our expert Legal Practice.”
