On Tuesday 14 March, 186 cyclists arrived in Cannes after completing a six day, 1,500km cycle challenge from London. This year’s Legal & General Real Assets Cycle to MIPIM, organised by our charity partner Club Peloton, was bigger and better than ever before.
The event sees professionals from the property industry cycle from London to the MIPIM property conference in Cannes. The riders have raised a fantastic sum of over £550k in sponsorship through the event so far, and as Club Peloton’s main beneficiary, Coram will receive two thirds of all funds raised, supporting the charity’s work with some of the UK’s most vulnerable children.
For the first time, the event had two fully fledged routes down to Cannes – one via Portsmouth and Caen, and the other via Folkestone and Calais. The ride was extremely challenging with cyclists completing at least two of six stages every day, ranging from 40 to 60km each.
