Coram Children’s Legal Centre legal listing

  • 19 December 2013

CCLC was recognised for its work in education law with a listing in the category of UK-wide Education.

The Guide cites CCLC’s work with legal aid claimants, including exclusions, admissions and special educational needs, and its community education law advice line.

Of particular mention was CCLC’s award of one of only three legal aid education advice contracts, and its expertise in complex cases: “They’re involved in bringing the more difficult cases,” said one client.

Noel Arnold, Director of Legal Practice at CCLC, said: “We are delighted to have achieved ranking in this category for the first time. Our small but dedicated team of education law solicitors and caseworkers are working very hard to ensure that despite cuts to the scope of legal aid for education law matters, we continue to deliver quality advice and assistance to our clients whether they are funded by legal aid or are privately paying.”

Chambers UK Guides are published annually and rank leading lawyers and legal departments across the UK.

Rankings are based on in-depth feedback from clients and legal professionals and investigative research into the quality and effectiveness of organisations’ work.
