To date, Coram’s successful partnerships with Kent, Harrow and Redbridge are delivering excellent outcomes for children waiting to be adopted, helping ensure that greater numbers of children have the best chance of stability and secure loving attachments from as early as possible. Coram has also worked with Cambridgeshire County Council to establish a dedicated VAA, Coram Cambridgeshire Adoption, the first of its kind to operate the delegated function of local authority.

Coram partnerships that change children’s lives

Dr Carol Homden CBE, Chief Executive of Coram, said: “Coram’s adoption partnerships and their positive impact on children demonstrate just what can be done when the expertise and passion in a local authority and a voluntary sector provider are united and harnessed. Behind the success of our partnerships are individual children whose lives have been changed by joining a loving, forever family.”

Chris Pelham, Assistant Director People, the City of London Corporation said: “The City of London is committed to providing the very best services for our children and families, so it is with great pleasure that we enter into a new partnership with Coram which will be supporting the commissioning and delivery of adoption services for City of London children and families. The proud traditions of both organisations in delivering excellent services provide a strong basis from which to develop our partnership in the coming years and something we look forward to with great enthusiasm in the City of London.”
