The Big Adoption Day will enable people interested in adopting to find out more about how adoption agencies work and the services, such as family support, which are on offer.
There are thousands of children waiting to be adopted and adoption agencies are looking for parents who can understand and appreciate the challenges so many of these children have experienced and give them the love and support they so need.
Big Adoption Day events will be hosted by Coram’s adoption service for London at our Coram Campus in Bloomsbury, while Coram Adoption East Midlands will be holding an event at their offices near Loughborough.
Coram Cambridgeshire Adoption, an adoption agency conceived from a partnership between Cambridgeshire County Council and Coram, will be holding its Big Adoption event at the Marriot Hotel, Huntingdon.
Visitors will be able to meet staff, speak to people who have adopted and, at the East Midlands’ Big Adoption Day, hear from adopted children and young people about what adoption means to them through a variety of media. There will also be an opportunity to view a new animation produced by adopted children for prospective adopters that has been created specifically for the day.
