Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation launches Big Give Christmas Challenge Appeal with donations doubled from 29 November to 6 December
CSSF aims to raise £75,000 towards its Theatre and Film Festivals, giving children the confidence, creativity and resilience they’ll need for life.
Every donation received by the charity through the Big Give appeal (29 November – 6 December) will be doubled, thanks to generous match funding from The Big Give and a small group of individual donors. With match funding, every donation will go twice as far in giving arts opportunities to young people with the greatest need and the most to gain from participation.
CSSF’s Big Give campaign comes during 2022-23 Theatre Festival in which thousands of children take to the stage to perform Shakespeare plays in professional theatres across the country. Over the past 22 years, the award-winning cultural education charity, has worked with over 300,000 children from thousands of schools including primary, secondary, SEND, and with Pupil Referral Units (PRUs).
The charity’s work has a lasting impact on its participants. At the end of last year’s Theatre Festival:
– 98% of teachers reported their students were confident and had pride in themselves
– 96% of teachers felt their students were more ambitious
– 88% of teachers said the project had improved their students’ academic attainment
– 97% of teachers said their students were able to work effectively as a team
Please support their vital work during the Big Give Christmas Challenge from midday on 29 November until midday on 6 December. All donations will be doubled – at no extra cost to you.
Thank you for your support.
