Dad and adopted daughter walking in forest This year, on Father’s Day, Coram Adoption’s Managing Director, Jeanne Kaniuk says:

“Dads should never be undervalued. They make such an important contribution to children’s lives.

“Our dads are all very different people who come from all walks of life. What they have in common is that they have all transformed the lives of a child who was facing an uncertain life without anyone to give them the love and care they need. They have given them a safe place to grow and develop their own potential to love.

“Happy Father’s Day to all our dads.”

Will, a Coram dad from Loughborough explains what becoming a dad through adoption has meant to him:

I felt I was ready to share our life and now I couldn’t imagine my life without my son. We want to give him all the experiences that he’s never had and give him a good foundation for the rest of his life.

Shezad, another Coram dad talks about how he and his wife adopted a child through Coram who shared their Muslim faith.

When we first saw his picture, he actually looked like a member of my family. It was very reassuring to know of Coram’s expertise in the field and that they were offering support later on after adoption as well.
