This report provides an analysis of the child protection system in Albania, primarily considering the legal and regulatory system and the social welfare system. The benchmark for this assessment was international standards on child protection, both binding and non-binding. Key areas were identified for improvement, with recommendations developed in consultation with the Albanian government to provide practical ways to prevent and respond to violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect suffered by children.
