Experts from Coram International contributed legal input to Plan International's report on girls' experiences worldwide in urban environments.
This report was published prior to Plan International’s Because I am a Girl campaign, which ran from 2012-2018 and aimed to transform girls’ lives through education. Exploring the lives of girls in two separate arenas – in cities and through information and communication technologies (ICTs) – this 2010 report looked at both risks and opportunities provided by these under-researched areas. With more than 50% of the world population living in cities for the first time, and with access to ICTs rising across the world, the report was a timely look at the ways in which adolescent girls are affected by the two issues.
