This 2008 report analysed the Tajik child protection system in the light of international standards.
The report contains a situational analysis of the child protection system, including laws, policies and practices, focusing on how effectively the system provided safeguards and met the needs of children and their families, while highlighting areas in which improvement and change were needed. The report, commissioned by UNICEF Tajikistan, was part of a wider effort for reform which included the Government of Tajikistan establishing a Working Group on Child Protection and Child Welfare in 2007.
